Turkish interest calculator
Calculate statutory or commercial default interest on a claim against a Turkish debtor, period by period, using the official Turkish rates.
Which rate applies to a claim in Türkiye?
- Statutory interest applies where no rate was agreed in a non-commercial matter (Law No. 3095, Art. 1). From 31 July 2026 it equals 80% of the Central Bank's rediscount rate on 31 December of the previous year.
- Commercial default interest: in commercial matters with no agreed default rate, the creditor may claim the Central Bank's short-term advance rate (Art. 2/2). It changes when the Central Bank changes the rate.
- TCC Art. 1530 applies to late payment for goods or services between businesses, at a rate the Central Bank announces each year.
If your contract sets a default rate, use the fixed rate option.
