What this checklist is based on

Foreign court judgments are enforced in Türkiye under the Turkish Private International Law Code (MÖHUK Art. 50–59): the judgment must be final, there must be reciprocity, it must not concern a matter within the exclusive jurisdiction of Turkish courts, it must not be manifestly contrary to public policy, and the debtor's right of defence must have been respected. Foreign arbitral awards are enforced under the 1958 New York Convention or the PIL Code.
